Floyd’s Jacksonville Center for the Arts launches its 2015 series of live classical, jazz, and blues music concerts, again with the longtime financial help of prime sponsor, WDBJ7, Your Hometown News Leader. WDBJ7’s President and General Manager, Jeff Marks says, “Floyd’s Jacksonville Center is an amazing place where artists of the highest caliber perform in an intimate setting. This is one of Virginia’s artistic gems.”

The first two concerts in the series have been scheduled for March 21st and April 25th.

“We are pleased to bring the regional favorite, Kandinsky Trio back to Jax for the first of our two spring concerts,” says Linda Fallon, President of the Jacksonville Center board. “And a visit from international artists, The Martinü String Quartet, who will be joined by Russian pianist Olga Vinokur on April 25th. Mark your calendars and get tickets reserved today.”

Seating for both concerts is limited, so check out the Jacksonville Center’s website, jacksonvillecenter.org today and use the “buy now” button to secure your seat. Concerts begin at 7:30 PM and there’s an opportunity to meet the artists at a reception following each performance. Tickets for these spring performances are $25 ahead of time, from the website or at the Jacksonville Center box-office ($15 for students); or $30 at the door for all, provided there is space available.

The Kandinsky Trio will return to Floyd, presenting an entirely new repertoire, March 21 starting at 7:30P.

The Martinü String Quartet will be joined by Olga Vinokur for a stop in Floyd during their US tour on April 25 at 7:30P. This is the sole regional presentation of these international artists on one stage together.
